The ceremony design featured striking floral arches that created a beautiful focal point while still allowing the museum’s architecture to shine. The black, white, and gold color palette felt polished and contemporary against the historic backdrop of the Dayton Art Institute.

After Isabela and Kamal exchanged vows, guests were able to transition seamlessly into cocktail hour before continuing into the reception. Having the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all onsite made the experience incredibly convenient for guests and allowed the entire day to feel relaxed and cohesive.

A Black, White and Gold Wedding Reception

The reception brought Isabela and Kamal’s modern wedding vision to life. Black, white, and gold details were incorporated throughout the space, creating a sleek and elevated atmosphere.

One of our favorite elements was the draped floral head table. The soft draping and florals added romance and dimension to the clean, modern design. It created a beautiful focal point for the reception while giving Isabela and Kamal a special place to enjoy dinner and take in the celebration around them.

We also loved repurposing the ceremony arches behind the head table. Moving these floral installations into the reception allowed the couple to enjoy them throughout the evening and made an even greater visual impact. Repurposing ceremony flowers is one of our favorite ways to create a cohesive wedding design while making the most of each floral element.

With the arches framing the head table, the entire installation felt intentional, dramatic, and perfectly suited to the scale of the Dayton Art Institute.
