Cocktail hour. It’s only an hour, but it is an opportunity to wow your guests. Here are some of our favorite ways you can upgrade your cocktail hour.

Live Music – Who doesn’t love live music? There is something about it that is elegant and unforgettable. We’ve seen string quartets and even a live one-man jazz band played during cocktail hour and it just adds a touch of elegance

Unique Signature Drinks – For summer weddings, we love a unique margarita or cocktail. For winter weddings, we love warm spiced mulled wine! Guests love having something fun and unique to sip on, and cocktail hour is a great way to get the party started.

Unique Cocktail Napkins – Get guests talking with unique cocktail napkins! We love these fun fact cocktail napkins, or even cocktail napkins featuring your dog like these! Have fun with it – these can also be used for cake later in the evening and for drinks throughout the rest of the night.

Photo Spot – Create a photo-worthy spot where guests can snap a photo all dressed up! This could be a boxwood backdrop or floral backdrop with a neon sign. This gives guests something to do during cocktail hour, and who doesn’t love a fun wedding pic?!

Upgrade the Hors D’oeuvres – This is an area you can have fun with. Talk to your caterer about unique presentation for cocktail hour food, as well as upgrading your hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour. Who doesn’t love good food? (Answer: nobody!)
